Teaming up with Merseyside Police and Everton in the Community, 10 students participated in a litter pick around the school and were rewarded with tickets to watch Everton take on Leicester City. Under the floodlights of Goodison Park, the children enjoyed an action packed game of football with the match ending in a 2-1 win for Everton. All the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the game and on behalf of Florence Melly, we would like to say a massive thank you to Paul Burns and colleagues from Walton Lane Police Station for providing our school with the tickets.
For one of our students, it was her very first Premier League football game and she had a fantastic time. In her own words “I was excited to be able to go and watch Everton for the first time. We were so close we could nearly touch the players, I will never forget it. The win made the long walk home in the rain much easier and I’ve already asked my dad for a season ticket.”
