At Florence Melly Community Primary School, we recognise that access to school social media accounts gives pupils, staff and parents greater opportunities to learn, engage, communicate, and develop skills that will prepare us for work, life, and citizenship. We believe that the school social media accounts are an excellent way for you to stay up-to-date with what has been happening in school on a daily basis and as a way of informing you of future events. It is also a great way of helping our pupils develop 21st-Century technology and communication skills and informing them how to be cyber safe.
Our Twitter (X) Feed
As Twitter is web-based we adopt exactly the same rules for our school Twitter account as we do for our school website. No child’s name will be published on the Twitter feed and no photographs of your child will be displayed, if you have not given permission.
Please note that the school will not respond to ‘direct messages’ on Twitter. If you wish to contact the school, please do so via the usual methods.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our Twitter feed or its contents, please do not hesitate to contact our Headteacher – Mr Leach, who will be more than happy to discuss it further.
Go on, give us a follow – you’re missing out if you don’t! @flomellynews.
