EYFS Closed Tomorrow (Thursday 18th November 2021)
Attention all EYFS parents/carers – don’t forget that we are closed to all Early Years pupils tomorrow due to the local elections. We are open to all other pupils.
Unfortunately tomorrow (Thursday 18th November 2021), local elections are taking place in Liverpool, and our Early Years setting is being used as a polling station. We have, as a result, taken the difficult decision to close our EYFS for the day. We have been in discussions with the local authority to find alternative solutions to prevent the closure but we have not been able to find a suitable solution. That means that both our morning, afternoon and all day nursery children and our reception children will not be able to attend school, on site, tomorrow. All other children can attend school on Thursday 18th November! We are closing our EYFS because hundreds of members of the public will access the school site, using the nursery/reception entrance. This will cause issues with the drop-off and pick-up and issues with the security of this part of the site throughout the day. The safety of our children is our number one priority! We appreciate that this is not ideal and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
In light of this, our staff will provide comprehensive and exciting remote learning activities for the entire day – just like they did during the lockdown periods. We have a brilliant system in place for remote learning and our dedicated nursery and reception teams will be on hand across the day to teach the children remotely. They will do this through Class Dojo – please make sure that you are signed up and log on first thing tomorrow morning!
Again, I apologise for having to do this but it is the safest way to manage the situation. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher, Miss Latta (our EYFS Lead) or myself.
Thank you for your time and cooperation in dealing with this matter.
