Firstly, I would like to thank you all for taking my advice on board and testing your child/children. The surge testing approach has identified multiple cases which otherwise would have gone undetected! As a result of this increase in positive cases, I would like to take this opportunity to clarify the changes to self-isolation. It is vital that you do not send your child back into school if they are still infectious!

Please see the image attached to this letter: Letter to Parents/Carers – Isolation Period Guidance Update (26/01/22), which explains the changes to how long positive cases have to isolate for and how the ‘earlier release’ system after five full days works! This will explain it far better than I ever could!
